پیغمبر خلیل جبران کی شہرۂ آفاق کتاب The Prophet کا اردو ترجمہ ہے، جو پہلی بار 1923ء میں شائع ہوئی اور دنیا بھر میں بے حد مقبول ہوئی۔ کتاب میں ایک دانا شخص المصطفیٰ کی گفتگو کے ذریعے انسانی زندگی کے نہایت اہم موضوعات پر گہری اور فکر انگیز باتیں پیش کی گئی ہیں۔ محبت، شادی، اولاد، دوستی، کام، آزادی، خوشی و غم، نیکی و بدی، دعا، حسن اور موت جیسے موضوعات کو خلیل جبران نے نہایت خوبصورت، شاعرانہ اور علامتی انداز میں بیان کیا ہے۔ کتاب کی خاص بات یہ ہے کہ اس کی تحریر بظاہر سادہ ہے، لیکن اس کے اندر زندگی، انسان اور انسانی رشتوں کے بارے میں گہری فلسفیانہ سوچ موجود ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ پیغمبر کو دنیا کے مقبول ترین ادبی اور فکری کتب میں شمار کیا جاتا ہے اور یہ مختلف زبانوں میں ترجمہ ہو کر نسل در نسل پڑھی جاتی رہی ہے۔

English Description:

The Prophet is the most famous philosophical and spiritual work of Lebanese-American writer and artist Kahlil Gibran. Originally published in 1923, the book is written as a series of poetic conversations in which Almustafa, a prophet who is about to leave the city of Orphalese, shares his reflections on the most important aspects of human life. Through beautiful and symbolic prose, Gibran explores love, marriage, children, work, freedom, joy and sorrow, friendship, good and evil, prayer, beauty, and death. Its simple yet deeply philosophical writing has made The Prophet a timeless classic that continues to inspire readers around the world.
